Dr. Carl J. Gassmann is the highly qualified surgeon at Scottsdale Surgical Arts, specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery, facial cosmetic and laser surgery. Dr. Gassmann is committed to providing the finest medical care for each of his patients.

Dr. Gassmann completed his undergraduate education at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona with a biology major. He published his research in the area of cellular biochemistry. He continued on to graduate with Honors from the University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio, Texas, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Furthering his education, he earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then received specialist training in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Facial Cosmetic and Laser Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

Dr. Gassmann is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and is an associate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Gassmann has published research and lectured on both national and international levels in the field of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery during his academic career. He was the recipient of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Resident Award for excellence in research.

Since beginning his active practice in 1995, Dr. Gassmann has developed new procedures and techniques to treat the most complex cases. His medical and dental knowledge remains on the cutting edge so that he can ensure the highest level of quality in his procedures.
